Live By Scent

We all know animals have an amazing sense of smell. They trust their nose with its life. After all, it's how they find food. It's how they find a mate. It's how they decide their next step. With that in mind, its ok to go overboard when concealing your scent when hunting. For Maximum Scent cover, follow the steps below!

Pouring Laundry Detergent

Plan Ahead

  1. Wash all hunting gear such as clothes, soxs, hats, boots, gloves,  in unsented laundry detergent. Dry clothes with unscented dryer sheets.

  2. Shower in scent free soap before leaving if possible.

  3. Place clothing into a sealable bag.

Gone Hunting...
  1. If you have to get into a vehicle, we recommend waiting to put on your hunting clothes until after you arrive at your destination if possible. If not, at least wear a different pair of shoes and leave your hunting footwear in the sealed bag.

  2. After arriving at your destination lay out all of your hunting gear on the ground, or up against a tree spray all gear with Scents of Surroundings, including hunting clothes until the gear is coved and clothing is damp to the touch.

  3.  Before walking to your spot, spray Scents Of Surroundings on the soles of your boots or shoes.

  4. If traveling by foot periodically spray your boots or shoes with Scents of Surroundings to cover your scent trail.

  5. When you arrive at your hunting spot, it's likely your body warmed up during the hike. If you broke a sweat, be sure to spray down with the scent that best blends with your hunting grounds.

You're Not Out of the Woods Yet!
  1. Just because you're leaving does not mean the hunt is over. Leaving scent behind can ruin the next hunt. Spray you the bottom of your boots with Scents of Surroundings to avoid leaving scent tails on the way out.

  2. Before you enter a vehicle, change out of your hunting clothes and put all gear and clothing back into the sealable bags. This will help by reducing the amount of scent exposure from unwanted scents.
